Mutts in Rutts Charity Ride

Heather accepting the donations

Today my humans went out early in the morning. I didn't know what they were doing, but they showed me these photos after they got home and said I would be happy. They were right! I was VERY happy because they were collecting food and toys and supplies for my friends at the pound I was rescued from!!! YAY!!!

They called it the Mutts In Rutts Charity drive! Here's the link to the photos they showed me.
Mutts in Rutts charity ride. For two and a half weeks they left collection boxes at four sites. Today they picked up the boxes and collected so many things from people willing to help this year!

They went to four separate places. It's not a lot, but the things they left for the shelter will really come in handy.

First Class Kennels

The first place was Fausto's Coffee... OK... a little strange... that's not a DOG place or a MOTORCYCLE place, but I guess they are pet people that go there. They had a big box for us, Then it was off to First Class Kennels. NOW they get it... That's a dog place! They have Irish Setters and a pig that stays with them when his human is away. I would LOVE to stay there overnight. They have lots of really cool stuff. Its nothing like where I came from. My humans said it smells nice, it's quiet, and the owners live right next door so they can make sure everything is OK. Wow! How awesome!!! Then it was off to my pals at Happy Dog Cafe and Boutique. They have everything a dog could want (cats too...Grrrrr...) My human says it always smells like a bakery in there... that's because they make their dog cookies right there! What?!?!?! And they haven't brought ME there???? Santa was there also! Lastly they went to McKenny-Salinas Powersports to get the last box... really? Another non DOG place??? They had lots of teddy bears in their box. perfect for puppies that don't have a mom to snuggle up next to when they are lonely. There were a lot there when I left. My humans are really nice to do this. They said the shelter hardly gets any help to take care of all of us so all this will really come in handy. They were very surprised. I'm happy!
