So to get me up early, I got a job today. Yep! ME! My human says that I need something to do, so last night she went into the room where they keep the loud things they ride on and took out something from one of the boxes of toys they have. (they don't play with those toys much) It was Black and looked really funny. Nothing like I have ever seen, but it smelled like SUKI!!!
My human said it was a Backpack. She ripped it into two pieces and put one piece on my back. I tried to play tug-of war, but was told not to. Hmmm... "Blide"...Stay... Sigh. This must be serious... I'll stay.
She fiddled with some straps and I heard clicks, she took it off my back, told me to stay again and put it back on. More clicks and fiddling with straps... I wanted to say "Do you know what your doing?", but you know, dogs can't talk, and since I have a tattoo, I'm a dog and not a puppy anymore.
After taking it off my back for a 2nd time, FINALLY! No more clicks and no more fiddling. She left it on my back this time. Hmmm... Feels weird, but oddly comfortable, like when she gives me a hug. This isn't too bad, but what is that other part you ripped for??? She didn't do anything with it, but let me walk around the house with the first part. It's is cool, but... umm... your not going to leave this on my are you? These straps that are hanging, yah, the ones I'm tripping over... well these have to go. Right then, she gave me a pat, told me I was good and took it off. ok.. cool. WHAT was that all about?
The next day... That's today, she took the "Backpack" out again but somehow put the two pieces back together again. She told me to sit and stay again and put the whole thing on my back. wow. that feels really weird with the other piece on. I have to concentrate to make sure I stay balanced. I think there's stuff in the things that hang on my side.
At first when we walked, I really had to concentrate... this is very different. I can feel the top part moving when I walk, but after a little I got the hang of it. When I had to go potty, my human picked it up in her little bag and put it in one of the things on my side. ewww... I can smell that!
I wanted to play a little when I saw a leaf run across the road, but I was told that new word she's saying in a serious voice... "No, Work" . This must be a very important job as she has something like this too sometimes she carries on her back. THIS is my job!!
I get to carry things!!!! Just like my human! YAY!!!!
I like my job. C'mon dogs that bark! I'm not afraid of you! I have a JOB!
