Patient But Clumsy Mom

Hello everyone! My puppies are 3 1/2 weeks old today and are doing great with weaning. They are getting teeth! They are wrestling with each other now and were able to play on the tile floor for a little. When they started to whine my humans put them back in. We don't want them to get overloaded. It's a big world out here.

Speaking of worlds.... their world inside the box is expanding. Autumn, Scrappy, Benji and Dot can climb out when they want. This is going to get interesting now.

I got in big trouble today... I layed down on Weezer and didn't get up when he was calling out in distress. He was nursing and I didn't want him to, so I layed down. My humans came into the room and looked very angry... This isn't the first time I've been clumsy. I'm a good mom but sometimes I don't watch what I'm doing. I get to stay in the box with them overnight, but during the day, when they are home, I only go in to feed them, the rest of the time I'm usually chewing my bone right outside the door so I'm not far away.

So 5 more weeks and we call go to our new homes! I've heard there are 2 people interested in my pups! YAY! I wish someone would be interested in me... I'm a really great dog and can't wait to show my humans my true colors. I do bounce a little in the morning when I'm excited to go out. That always makes my humans laugh.

More messy puppies

I know it's late, but my human has been very busy tonight making sure my puppies are getting solid food for dinner and cleaning my box. They are doing very well with paper training, but I still feel that I'm better at getting them to potty and cleaning them up afterwards. My human said that after they start eating solids, I won't want to do that any more. We shall see. :)

My humans have a video of them eating that will be on my You Tube channel soon. It so cute!

They aren't that messy with eating. My humans said they have seen worse. My human soaks my kibble in water all day so it's really mushy, then she mashes it up and adds milk supplement. Good thing my food is better nutritionally than puppy food! My humans try to give me the best food. It's super tasty and the puppies KNOW when it's feeding time. Then after, they clean each other up... I don't have to do anything except eat the leftovers. Thats not a bad deal huh?

I've been working on my training lessons and have been making progress. I still freeze when I'm asked to do something I don't know how to do, but my human is very patient and she waits until I relax and we try again. So did everyone see the video of my puppies howling?? I thought it was really odd. They all howled at the same time like a pack of wolves. LOL they are getting teeth now too, so they feel like wolves when they nurse... I'm glad my human is having them start eating solid food.

Have a great night!

Potty Training

The box with a Pupy-potty-room
Today begins the day where my puppies begin learning that they can't potty where they eat and sleep. My human has a friend who said to try this. She has really big dogs and she says this helps with keeping the box clean. So far so good. I was suprised when I was feeding them that they crawled over me to go in their potty room. There are some who's instincts havn't kicked in yet, but that's ok. they will soon, plus my humans are better than me about keeping up with them. They all should get the hang of it in a few more days.

Sometimes I hear my human talking to other humans about potty training my puppies... They don't believe it can be done, but just think...when they go to their forever home they will already know not to do the dooty in their crate and will do it on the papers. A breeder named Bev Dorma from Misty Trails Havenese / Mastifs has created a method called the "Misty Method". I'ts basically a way of raising the  pups that gives them the concept of housetraining early on. How cool is THAT? My humans are definatly making it easy on the new parents of my pups.

I had to have my human film this... they were so full of energy after they pottied and since they are starting to eat solid foods now they know the smell of MY food. I think they are liking this solid food thing.... well... its more like wet mush, but anyway they like it. Here's the video below. It's also on my you tube channel.

Round #2 with solid mush.

WOW! These guys are getting bigger and bigger every day! This is my human taking a nap... sorta... with Weezer. He wasn't feeling well... But he's ok now.

I don't like being in my box all the time lately... they are starting to get teeth and they bite kinda hard. (ouch!) Thankfully my humans give them all pedicures every Sunday so their nails don't hurt me. Everyone has their eyes and ears open and they know when I'm close to the box because they all wake up and come to the front. They are really starting to get around now. Pretty soon we all can take a trip outside on a nice day. I can't WAIT!

I'm still learning my commands on the lead and my human said that since I just sit at the door waiting to go out, I need to learn how to make a noise in case they don't see me sitting patiently and I have another accident. I wonder what she's going to teach me??? I know it will involve treats though! YAY!

Can you believe that in 5 more weeks my puppies will be going to new homes??? WOW! I hope I find a forever home too! Thank you to everyone who has passed my blog along to their friends. I really appreciate it.

Enjoy the video! Theres another on my YouTube Channel too. . Check it out  HERE and subscribe so you can get updates whenever I put up something.

More Video's

These guys are 1 day shy from being 3 weeks old! Can you believe it? How time flies when your having fun! Patches is going to look a little like me I think. She won't have my nose but she's beginning to have spots like me. Right now they are running mostly down the middle of her back and on her head. She's the only one undergoing a transformation in the litter. Everyone else is pretty much the same... oh yes, Brenny is getting a tad lighter. His black brindle stripes are turning dark brown. He's still super cute! Scrappy isn't showing any signs of spots or any markings what so ever. He may be my all white pup. Not albino as his nose is turning black, but he can see and hear just fine so that's good. Snowy's coat is defiantly a double coat. It's very thick and she prefers to sleep a little out of the pack because they can get pretty warm in there, but she's the 1st one to mealtime! She's got a super keen nose.

Does anyone have any questions about the pups they want me to answer?

Oh yes, All my video's are on my you tube channel my human set up for me. How fantastic is that? She's really cool and must want me to find a perfect home! I was told that if you go to YouTube and type in RescueZoe as a channel you can find me... Also, to make it easy, here's the link (Rescue Zoe on YouTube)

Today we practiced walking on the lead in the driveway. I learned a couple new words... "With me" and "Stop". The first one means to walk with her but not in front and when she says "Stop" that means "Stop and sit" I'm doing a great job at it. My other pack members know this already so I'm playing catch up. That's ok too, because I'm getting ALLLLLL the treats!

Enjoy the video!

All 10 Puppies Named

Today has been SO nice outside! The weather is super warm, but the night was chilly. It chilled the house a little too much and Weezer caught a small chill, but my humans warmed him up right away. He's all better now.

My puppies are ALL over me now these days. I believe they think I'm, their play ground. They are in my ears, biting my nose and my legs playing king of the mountain and tumbling down like the story Jack & Jill... They are kids and they don't have teeth yet, so I'm very tolerant while they use me as a teething ring. So what do you think about this photo? I was sleeping after a seemingly long play time and my human thought it was cute to line them all up, but the extras had to be put on the top. She ran out of room. There's one thing I want to note. I was told that Ruffed Up Rescue was having a "thing" to raise money and the human that spent the most on them could name one of my pups... These names are for in my box and in my humans home only. You can call them whatever you want. (big grin) It's not permanent, but the names do go pretty well with their personalities and looks.

Pretty soon my box is getting separated into two areas for potty training. No more potty in bed! YAY!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Me and my cuddle buddy Shasta

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I had a blast of a day! Never had I had SO many treats! Either I was very good or today is a very special day. Me and the whole pack ate very good tonight. I'm so full I had to rake a nap on the cool wood floor. My puppies were very full as well. I stayed in my box most of the day and made sure they had plenty to eat. They are being very quiet now and napping nicely.  I hope you all had a great day and eat lots of treats!

New Condo

My New Box
My Old Box

Hay guys! I just had to show off my new box! What do you think? My humans saw that I was getting a little cramped in my old box and I was accidentally sitting on some of my puppies... So off to work they went. I stayed very close to the baskets where my puppies were while they were tearing my old box apart. Scrappy didn't like it in there... He was making a huge ruckus while everyone else tried to sleep. I suppose he's living up to his name already. When it was all done they gently put all my puppies back and I followed so I could tell them they were ok and such good puppies! It's really BIG in there now! I initially sat in the corner out of habit but then I saw I could stretch out! Ahhhhh.... MUCH better. My puppies have already explored the whole space and are sleeping spread out all over the box.

Also today is the birthday of my 2 week olds! YAY! They received their first dose of yellow medicine called wormer today. Patches isn't feeling so good so I'm really keeping an eye on her. She has tummy cramps.

I also went outside to dig again. I love digging in the leaves. Not in the yard. That's a no no. Only in the woods. Then my human wanted to take photos by the stream that I'm not allowed to go into yet. Not until after my puppies are eating on their own. It's a clean stream that comes up right from the Ground! Way Cool! Anyway, It's dinner time for me and I'm getting hungry again. I eat a lot! My humans always put something tasty in my food... I wonder what it's going to be tonight. Mmmmm...

13 Day Old Puppies

'Dot'  - Female -  fawn and cream
My humans tried to take some super natural photos of my puppies today, but since they kept moving a lot and the battery in their camera was slowing down they only got through half the litter. I thought I heard them say they will do the rest tomorrow.

Don't forget to choose your favorite one in the poll, and remember...the names are only temporary and will most likely change when they are added to Petfinder. I hear there's a contest for donations to pick a name. Then they will probably change again when they get to their forever homes.... but for now... my humans put their Summerfield Call Names under their photos.
'Smudges' - Female - white with fawn "smudging"

So for today I went exploring in the woods again and dug some holes in the leaves. When we came back I got this really weird tasting treat. It was the color of my pups.... well... you know, but it tasted WAY better. I think my human called it pumpkin?? strange stuff, but delish. I only got a little. She said it would help me not have to ask to go out so much. I hope it works.

Tonight I had to lay down seperate from the rest of the litter and feed three of my smaller puppies. Brenny was the biggest one in the litter, but everyone has caught up to him or is bigger. Patches and of course my little runt #6 born,
'Autumn' - Female - black with brown ticking and white socks
Weezer. He's so tiney but is the most vocal asside from scrappy who is just as big as Sherlock. He and Scrappy are my two biggest boys. I love them so! Patches and Snowy are cruising around the box as of late. They both prefer to be on all fours rather crawl like some of the others. Those girls are so smart!

Time to go feed the kids! Bye for now.
'Brenny' - Male - brown with black brindle

'Benji' - Female - fawn and cream

'Scrappy' - Male - white

CHASE!

Wow! What a fun day! I fed my puppies and the whole pack went for a walk! Oh it was SO nice to get out and stretch and sniff. I learned to stop and sit when a car comes by. They can be pretty scary when they go by really fast. Then, when we came back, we all got treats and then here’s the really great part… My human tied a really cool smelling piece of fur onto the end of a leash and I got to chase it all over the yard! I even caught it once or twice! YAY ME! I don’t know who got more exercise, me or my humans. Their dogs didn’t want to chase, but I had FUN!

Every day my puppies seem to be opening their eyes. This is so great! They get to see what I look like. Pretty soon they will hear as well. This is so fantastic! They are 12 days old today and are growing so fast that my human said my box is getting an addition this weekend to accomidate all of us.
I couldn’t be happier! Really… In the photo, I really AM happy, I was looking at the intruder dog… I chased her once out of my yard and I think she’s afraid of me now. She must not be as smart as I am because she keeps coming back. I put my hackles up to look really big and bark, then she runs away. Hehehehehe…Every day my puppies seem to be opening their eyes. Anonymous asked: Zoe, if one desired, where could they send you a donation (such as paypal), to assist in regards to your medical costs, and your darling little one's vet visits?

There are two donation sites. One that the Rescue is hosting and taking donations for 1st pick of a name. I was told that it goes towards the needs of all the rescue dogs.. It is here

Then there’s one my humans have set up specifically for me and goes directly to pay for anything my humans may need to get for me that the Rescue can’t provide for right away. They are a very busy pack. It is hereThey had one before to pay for my pups de-wormer and some food. My humans reached their goal! YAY! This one is new.

I was told they are both secure PayPal… what is that??? You humans and your money. I’m happy with treats and bones!
Thank you for thinking about us!

Lazy Day

My puppies had a very lazy day today. The temperature in the house is perfect, I got to play outside in a big leaf pile and chase off a dog that keeps intruding in my yard. I had the whole house to myself while my humans were in and out making all sorts of noise outside. I was very relaxed all day. No one bothered me or my pups. One of my humans was riding around in the yard again and now my leaves are all gone. Oh well… It was fun while it lasted!

Treats

I got a super duper treat tonight! A little sweet ice cream! Only a little though, and you really can’t tell in the picture…I was being silly. I wanted it all, but my human said my tummy wouldn’t like it. I think they must have thought I was super good today! I was actually. I had a girl human visit me today. I remember her smell and the treats I would get from her when I was staying with her pack before I had my puppies. She brought me treats too! I was very happy. She said I looked good all skinny now that I’m not pregnant. She liked my coat as well. (I guess baths aren’t all that bad) We all stayed outside for a while then I wanted to go back and check on my puppies, but not until I tried to chase the neighbors cat WAY on the other side of the property… My human said I couldn’t, but I tried. hehehe…  My puppies are starting to open their eyes! There are 2 or 3 that have them open in the corners. It’ll be in no time that they all will be open! YAY!
What a great day it was today! The puppies are getting bigger and their tummies are always full. Some are even starting to lick, bark and growl. What fast learners they are. They are growing so fast. I’ll have my human post some photos of them tomorrow.

Bad Storms

Hello there! I hope everyone is OK from the storm tonight. I was good. It didn’t bother me. I was with my puppies the whole time. My human took this video of all the pups. I even give you guys a kiss for following along and sharing my blog with all your friends!
The one making all the noise is Weezer…Hes the littlest one with the white spot on his collar. The video is a little big so give it time to load. Sorry. My human wanted you to see all the puppies.

Puppy Names

This is my girl human holding Dot’s brother. They call him Benji because one day his fur was all messy after I cleaned him. They told me my puppies wouldn’t get names, but since I don’t like those things they but around their necks, it’s easier for them to tell them apart. I don’t know why they don’t just use their noses. They all smell different to me. They said there is “Dot”, “Benji”, “Brenny”, “Scrappy”, “Weezer”, “Sherlock” and for now “Patches”… That’s the girl with the patch on her ear and the spots coming out like from what humans call the Dalmatian Breed… really humans? Can you be MORE origional???
It’s raining out today and I really don’t like the rain. My collar was let off the lead as usual at the bottom of that HUGE flight of stairs up to the deck, but this time it was faster to get out of the rain by going to my favorite dry hiding place… under the stairs. My human didn’t like it very much because she said I had to go inside to take care of my puppies…. Apparently humans don’t like dirt either and I got a bath.
Oh! Great news!!! Yesterday two of my puppies took steps on all four feet! YAY! I’m so proud of them! No eyes open yet, but it’s comming! I’ll let you know when they do and who the first one is.This is my girl human holding Dot’s sister. They call herBenji because one day her fur was all messy after I cleaned her. 1 Week Old

HAPPY 1 week old birthday to my puppies! The word it getting around that they all will need a home in 7 weeks! How exciting! Tonight my humans gave all 10 a pedicure. Which is great because their nails were getting painfully long! Some didnt mind because they were sleeping, others not so much. They cried and fussed, but I was there to make them feel better…
One of my humans said he saw Dot (my daughter with the fawn coat and the dot on top of her head) take 2 steps on all fours! He said it wasn’t gracefull but she did it! Yay Dot!!! No one has opened their eyes yet, but it’ll be this week. What a great week this is!

Eyes Opening Soon

Today was such a great day! I’m having more and more time in the whole house by myself! This morning, one of my humans left and the other was still here… sleeping in his bed and I had the whole house to myself again. It would have been nice to lay on the porch with the other dogs in the sun. I don’t get that too often anymore. I get worried when I’m away from my pups too long. I went for a walk though yesterday. That was nice. My other human was in the house so I knew my pups were protected.
Pretty soon they will start opening their eyes. Can you guess which one?
Oh! This pup (My humans call her Dot because of the perfectly round spot on top of her head) is showing her black mouth, no her daddy was not what you humans call a chow chow breed, it’s her birthmark I think because her fur is short like mine. I’m still not telling who the father of my pups is. I’ll have you guys guess.
One more thing! There’s a new photo album of all my puppies individually… I didn’t like it, but they did it anyway. I stood watch though to make sure everyone was ok. Click my photo and it’ll take you straight there. Remember all my puppies and myself will need a home soon, so contact www.ruffeduprescue.com and please spread the word!

HAPPY 5 DAY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Today my puppies are 5 days old and doing very well! I feed 5 at a time, they sleep, the other 5 feed then sleep, which is time for ME time! Everyone is so quiet now and are getting healthy round puppy tummies.
Oh! yah! Today, my human had to leave for a little bit and she didn’t put up the gate for me to stay in my box. I had the whole house to myself! I know not to get on the furniture but that’s OK. I had a nice comfey blanket, a bowl full of food and water and my bones. Mmmmm…. I must have been good because when she came in she looked very happy. I got a treat and lots of pats.
I hear my human wanted to take photos of my puppies separately so people can start to pick their pups out to take home. YAY! I know I’m not going to like it, but she’s good with them so I’ll just watch. I’m sure she will have a whole new photo album just for that. She LOVES to take photos.
So…what do you think of my figure? I’m gaining just a little weight at a time and eat whenever I want. I’m never without food! I’m so happy!

Lost Puppy

I’m sorry for not posting a photo tonight, I have been very sad. As you know, my 1st born pup fell very ill last night. Today my humans were up very early. I had my breakfast and went potty. They were gone for a very long time. After a little, I noticed my sick pup was not in the box with me and I looked under all the blankets in my box and she was not there… I had to be careful not to cover up my other pups. Then I was so tired I took a nap. My humans came home and my pup was not with them. I am a little sad still, but I was given a really special dinner and LOTS of the brown stuff they usually put in the rice.

I think I’m going to chew on my bone for a little while my pups are sleeping. It’ll be their dinner time soon and I’m starting to like my ME time.

A Sick Puppy

Tonight has been a very bad night for me. One of my babies has fallen sick and wouldn’t eat… I dont’ know whats happening so I left her alone hoping she would come around. My humans were extremely worried when they saw this and spent hours with her out of my box holding her close to them and putting that thing thats connected to her head on her. They didnt look happy. After a while it looked like she was getting better so they tried to have her drink milk thats not mine… it tasted good to me so it must be ok for my puppy. I wanted to sit with them, but my humans said I needed to take care of my other babies. They were starting to cry and all I wanted to do was stay with them and make sure my pup was going to be OK.
In the end I got my way and they put her back in the box with me after she was a bit stronger. I hope she’ll be OK. It’s my turn to try to take care of her now. My humans were so concerned. I will have them write more in the morning since I know you guys will be concerned too.

Learning Some Manors

My puppies are getting bigger and bigger! I feel pretty good about leaving them unattended for a little while I’m in the house. They are starting to make big dog noises. They bark (in a way) to each other and growl, they throw temper tantrums and cry when I stand up too fast. Oops… I also feel great! My human let me on the porch to play with their dogs today. It was so nice to play again… then I wanted in.

My humans have set up a blanket for me to lay on when I want some ME time and to do what I like best… chew my favorite bone! Can you see me in the picture? I blend right in like a wild dog in africa! I’ve also learned a trick! “Paw” I remember it most of the time and forget only when my human forgets to use her hands right. Silly humans.

I was told today that there are people interested in adopting my puppies! YAY!!! contact mailto:ruffeduprescue@hotmail.comand they will tell you how it all works. Or email me and I’ll reply privately with what my human said they told her, but it’s best to get it straight from the dogs mouth.
Have a great night!

addierachel asked:  I'm very happy that Ruffed Up Rescue and your foster humans got to you in time! (: I'm local to the Gastonia/Charlotte area and I would like to adopt soon! Wishing you and your puppies well

Wow! Thank you! Me too! I was pretty scared. Is that you in your picture? You look very kind. Are you looking to adopt one of my puppies or another kind? You know… The humans — Ruffed Up Rescue— They have LOTS of dogs to choose from. Even older puppies. Myself and my puppies won’t be ready until the new year, but if your considering me or my litter I was told you can have everything done before we are ready so you get 1st pick! How cool!!!

Chip-In Donations

Today has been a fantastic day for me and my puppies! the weather outside is warm and my puppies are feeding a lot! So far my human has fed me really great food so I can make enough milk for all these guys.

My human looked a little concerned today and asked me if I would sound the alarm and ask for help. My puppies are going to need shots soon. As a dog, I know this only hurts a little, but they need them to be healthy. I wagged my tail a lot when my human told me she can do them here so we don’t have to travel to the Dr’s and have a stranger do them. YAY! — Did I mention I don’t travel well? I would rather my humans do them anyway. I trust them.

I know humans have to pay for things they bring home and this is going to be a lot of things they need to bring home. My human said it will cost about $300 for everyone to have their shots.
Ruffed Up Rescue — Remember, the guys who saved me— will be paying for it all and they need help from other humans to buy it… this is really confusing. I hope you understand all this. I really don’t know what it all means… All I know is “sit”, “come”, “gentle” and “Down”. Thats pretty easy.

Anyway, please bark and tell all your friends that my puppies need their help. Click on my photo above and they can send donations there. What is PayPal??? My human says helping me and my family is tax deductable? What’s that?
Thank you for your help… no my puppies thank you for your help!

Skinny Minni

My puppies are 2 days old and really growing fast! I’m getting the hang of this mothering thing. I keep their box really clean and groom them all the time. My humans laugh when I push them around with my nose, but I have paws and cant pick them up like my humans can. The pup doesn’t like it either and cries.
I don’t mind leaving them for a little bit to go potty when my humans other dogs are out on the deck, but too long and I get really nervous. If I can hear them I’m ok. Must me new mother nerves. I’ve been getting a lot of good food so I’m making lots of milk. No one is going hungry in MY box. hehehe
This photo is the day after puppy birth. I’m really skinny! Its hard to put on weight, but my humans are doing everything they can. I get carrots as treats, really cold green beans, I get a little chicken fat in my food in the morning and yogurt at night. If I’m on my best behavior… which I always am… I get rice and some brown liquid stuff. It smells and tastes really good!
Time to get my pups, I hear them crying … Thank you for reading and following along!

Puppy Photos!

Click on the puppy and it’ll take you to the whole photo album which will be updated regurlarly. Thanks!

PUPPIES!!!!!!

The Puppies have finally arrived! The first puppy crawled under one of the blankets and I couldnt find her! I was SO scared, but my human came rushing in to help find her. My delivery was not that bad. I didnt cry at all when it came time, and now that my human was there, I wasnt scared at all. I had six pretty fast and it was a lot of hard work. I was really tired from feeling bad for two days and not eating I needed a rest. Next thing I know my human is calling my name and has a puppy ready for me to clean up. wow. I needed another rest, but it wasn’t long enough. I was so tired I didnt want to clean the next puppy that came. My human is good to me and urged me to do my job. I did. After that I was going to rest! And I did. I had my puppies close with me and I actually fell asleep for a little bit. Then another puppy. I was ready for this one. The last two came much later so I was ok with doing my job right away.
It took me a little bit to make sure I didn’t step on any in the beginning so my human held on to four of them keeping them warm for me. I trust her and knew where they were so it was OK. My human says it took just about 6 hours to deliver all eleven puppies! I guess thats good because both my humans are very happy with me. I even went potty outside.
Now with eleven mouths to feed, and none in my belly, I’m starved!!! My human gave me a special bowl of food that was super delicious and I drank a whole bowl of water. I was thirsty! That was a lot of work!
I don’t want to do this again, but I’ll be the best mom I can.

nonymous asked: Hey Zoe, you're really special and so are your humans. What's the first thing you want to do after your puppies come and you've got some pep back in your step?

Thats a very good question. It’ll take a bit for me to want to be away from my puppies. They will need me close by for a while, but when I’m ready to take a break from them, I think I want to go for a long walk in the woods, dig in some of the holes that are big enough for my nose to fit into and smell neat and then definatly chase the neighbors cat!

Whelping Day!

Its been a very long day, I’ve had a tummy ache since early in the am. My humans have been with me all day! I sleep, I fidget to get comfortable enough where I can sleep again then I have to move again…. The photo my human took is dark because I’m all cozy in my box. She put a cover on it so I felt safe and comfortable. Its working. :)

Puppy Hic-Ups

Puppies get Hic-Ups too!

Day 1 As a New Mom

Day one as a new mom is just about over. I feel so much better! I was starving! my humans gave me a little something special in my food tonight to get me to gain weight and help me feed my puppies. It was delish! I also got to RUN! oh wow how fun was that?!? I havnt ran in so long because of my tummy. I have been very good about going out to potty too. No messes from me in my box, but these babies are super messy. I’m happy my human was here with me all day to make sure every one was OK and to change my bedding when it got dirty.
The puppies are getting stronger and stronger all day. Some even stand on their toes while they nurse. It still is a little stressfull being away from them, but I feel safe here and I know nothing will happen to them. I suprised my humans by meeting them at the door when it was time to go potty. They didnt have to come get me out of my box.
I’m sure tomorrow will be just as fun… maybe even better! My human told me about all the people who were concerned for me… thank you.

Almost Time..

Good morning all… I asked my human to write this morning because today is going to be a long day. I know she usually puts a photo, but I’m just resting in my box for now.
As you know I wasnt feeling up to snuff yesterday. I didn’t wat anything to eat and I was very sleepy. I rested all day. My human stayed up with me most of the night and I felt a little better. I put my head in her lap and was able to dose a little.
This morning I feel really bad and I’m really restless. I had such a tummy ache last night my human made a funny noise after I went potty this morning, but then I got my pat and she said I was good. That made me feel better… a little… when we came in I didnt want my treat. Blech… I just crawled back into my box to rest.
I hope my babies come today, I’m tired of feeling yucky.

Not too Hungry Today

Good evening everyone! It was so warm today. My humans were outside for most of the time. One was driving around the yard and the other was in and out of the woods where I go potty. I wonder what they were doing? I was relaxing on the deck with their two dogs and saw the whole thing from really high up! It was really neat.
Later when it started to get darker some more humans came with a really small one. Since I didn’t eat my breakfast or my lunch, I forced myself to eat my egg treat, and I was overall really slow today so they weren’t allowed to visit me. My humans smell different today also. I think they are more concerned than they normally are.
Today as I was resting in my box and my human had something attached to her head and put the other end on my belly. I laid there quiet and she smiled. I didn’t want a treat so I laid my head back down. I think I’m going to take a nap now. I will have my human write in the morning.
Good night all!

Going for a walk

Good morning everyone! I felt rather spry this morning. hehehe Good word huh? I let my humans sleep in to 9:30, well one of them… Shasta, my cuddle buddy, and his human were still sleeping. We were all up very late last night, but I slept so well I wanted to go for a walk this morning. I stood by the door and looked out the window… my humans usualy get this hint, then when she asked if I wanted to go out, I wagged my tail really hard to show her I had lots of energy today. She’s pretty smart and got the hint. YAY! Tandom walk with Suki again! We didnt go far but it was enough for me to stretch my legs and sniff around.
I got my egg treat and now its time for a nap.

Getting close...

My human wanted to write this for me earlier, but I snuck in a bit of R&R with her on the floor. We just flopped down together. I trust her not to drop me so I just relaxed… Kind of like the whole day today, so relaxing and good thing. Ohhh these puppies are moving around so much!!!  I had my egg treat today because I’ve been so good. My human bought special ones just for me and I get one every day with breakfast. I’m also having a hard time going up the stairs so they take me on short walks in the front yard and down to the back of the house. I tried to run after the neighbors cat, but I didnt get too far. My belly is getting too heavy.
I’m going to go rest in my box now. I’m pooped.. I feel so comfortable in there. - G-night.

Anonymous asked: Are your puppies going to be available for adoption? What mix of dogs will they be?

Hmmm… what mix of dog will my babies be? I don’t know. A dog is a dog to me, they just smell different. I was found after I became pregnant so no one knows the father. I just know he smelled good. As for adoptions… My humans tell me that my babies and I will be ready to be adopted by our forever homes around the New Year. I would love to stay here, but this is just temporary so they can help other dogs. If you know of people that would like one of my babies, please give them the address to my blog so they can watch my progress and pick out a puppy or ME! I was very uncomfortable tonight so the time for them to be born is coming soon.

All by myself....

I’m having my human write my post a little early today as I’m feeling a bit down. I got in trouble this morning… I couldnt help it though. One of my humans left and I didn’t know where any one else was! I howled and howled I was soooo sad! Then my other human came out to get me. I was happy, but he wasn’t. I guess it’s not good to howl in the house. I did get a treat after I calmed down though, and I was happy again.
I slept in my box until my other human came home then we all hung out in the backyard for a while in the sun. Oh how nice is it to roll around in the grass! It feels so good on my tummy! I’m also learning “stay” it’s a really hard word and I get distracted really easy but my human is happy with me so I guess I’m doing good.
We didn’t go for a walk today because its getting harder and harder for me to stay on my feet. These puppies are getting so heavy in my tummy!
Time for a nap! My human will put up some more photos in my photo album. Click on my photo to check them out!

Milestones

Today my humans said was a milestone for me. Not only have I been here for a week already, but they both had to leave the house for a little bit and I was so good! I really had to go potty when they came back. I have proven that even as pregnant as I am I can hold my potty as long as I have to and don’t have to stay in a crate when they leave anymore! Yay me!

My appatite is slowing down a little even though I still could use a few more pounds, I just dont feel like eating a lot these days. I eat half of my breakfast and all my dinner. I’m thankfull for the round bowls my humans gave me since I lay down to eat. These pups are getting too heavy to stand all the time.

I am learning that even when my humans pet the other dogs, I’ll get pet too. I just have to wait my turn. I used to run up and push the other dogs away, but I’m learning it’s not polite to do that and to put my face in their face. I don’t know why humans dont like that, but I am learning that I’m not going to be left out and I dont have to always ask for pats. My favorite time is snuggle time when my human lays on the floor with me. I’m so happy!

Oh! I amost forgot to mention… we all got a pedicure today! I LOVE pedicures. I’ll just have to remember to tell my human she needs to massage the toes more.

Almost 1 week!

It’s been almost a week since I first came to live here and what a week it has been. I’ve learned so much not only from my humans but from their dogs too. We all make a good pack!

Today my human came home earlier than normal and surprised me with a tandom walk. I’ve never walked together with another pack member on one lead. Suki is the quiet one in our pack and she walked slow for me. We didnt go too far, but it was really cool to see that there are other dogs in the neighborhood. I hear them barking but I have never seen them. After my carrot treat I took a looong nap in the sun on the deck. I love sunbathing on my back! I think I got a tan on my tummy. hehehe… I have an “outi” belly button now.
My temprature was taken again today… jeez and my humans think I may give birth this weekend. I don’t know, but I DO know these pups move around so much I think they are playing fetch in there.
Thank you to everyone asking questions! I love answering them.
Anonymous asked: How are you today Zoe?

I am doing very well today. I was on my best behavior when I took a nice short walk with my human earlier. I made her very happy because I got a treat when we got back home. Now, after eating most of my lunch, I’m going to nap in the sun for a little. Thank you for asking!
