Anonymous asked: Zoe, This is Kathy Cole with the animal league of gaston county, Hello! That Ruffed Up Rescue gal really knows the doggies that are in the most need! Glad she found you! What do you need most right now before your babies are born?

Hello Kathy! Yes, I was told that everyone at Ruffed Up Rescue found me just in time! I think my human has everything for me for now, they give me plenty of high protein food and treats, and they have a stack of towels next to my box for when I give birth. She did say I have tape worms from a flea I ate a few weeks before someone found me. She saw them in my #2 … How embarrasing…  They tell me I need medicine for me and my babies after they are born to make them go away and for everyone to gain weight.
Other than that, I’m being taken care of very well. They were expecting me I think and have lots of doggy stuff!
Anonymous asked: So beautiful Zoe, I live all the way in Texas, or I would have you here in my forever home (:

Thank you for the complement. I’ve never been to Texas before. My humans have and they say I would like it very much. Maybe they would put me or one of my babies on a plane, but my humans say not until after Christmas. I wont be ready to leave my babies till then.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Today was a really boring day. I slept a lot and my humans were gone for the longest time since I arrived here. It seemed like forever, but I was good and held my potty until they came back. I didn’t even get on the sofa. I just stayed in the big box they made for me and my babies. I had my food, my water, my bones and a comfey blanket. Why would I want to get out? Although I could have if I wanted. I’m getting pretty good at sneaking out to wake them up in the morning when I have to really go. We did play a game today! She covered my box and I poped my head up. It was really fun and she laughed a lot.
Oh yah, I understand a word they say! It’s “Down” I’m supposed to lay down when they say it. It’s a bit tough with my belly getting so big, but I get a treat when I do so it’s OK. I have known what it means when they say “sit” for a few days now and I do it all the time…sit when they put my lead on to take me out, sit when we come back in and they take my lead off and sit when I get my carrot treats and food. There’s another word they keep saying to me, but I’m not quite sure what it is yet. Something about taking my paw in their paws… its really strange and I loose my balance. Being on three legs when your as big as I am is a bit tough. I’ll figure it out in a day or so and let you know what it is. They are pretty good learners too. I sit in front of the door when I have to go potty and it only took one accident (on purpose) before they figured it out. Pretty smart humans.
Tonight there were a lot of small humans coming to my door looking really funny, but I didn’t bark, I was really good. Some were scary and I stayed far away from the door so I couldn’t get taken away. I’m glad they aren’t coming anymore, I can chew on my bone and rest.
Until tomorrow! Good night!

Watch My Belly Move

If you watch really carefully you can see my belly move.

Beautiful Day!

Today was a pretty fun day! In the morning, I hung out with my human’s dogs basking in the sun. Thats Suki in the photo. She’s really boring but nice to snuggle next to when I want to. My humans have a really great deck that overlooks lots of woods. I like to sit out there and watch the squirrels and the neighbors cat. One of these days I’m hoping my humans will let me chase her. I REALLY want to chase her. We went for a litte walk in the woods and I found some really cool holes in the ground that smelled really neat!
With the mornings activities, I skipped my lunch meal and napped a lot.  My food bowl was near me but I didnt feel like eating. Its more comfortable sleeping on my back these days and not very lady-like, but my puppies are getting so big and they move around so much!
Now that it’s night time, I am completely worn out and so uncomfortable. I just can’t seem to find a comfey laying position. My humans keep taking my temprature, but I feel fine. I think they are concerned about me and my babies… I think my human has a video of one especially mobile one. I hope she’ll put it on my blog.

Meeting my fosters for the first time

This was the day I met my foster humans.  I was in the pound for a long time and one day the humans that work there took me outside to his really big party. There were lots of other humans around and so many other dogs. It was quite a lot to take in so I stayed quiet and watched. Besides, the sun was warm and it was nice to be out of my kennel. I liked this human a lot and he seemed to like me. There was lots of chattering then they walked away. Little did I know I wasn’t going back to the pound that day. I stayed with other humans for a few days and that was fun, but my puppies were growing fast and I started to get cranky with all the activity. Then one day, I went for a really long car ride… I’m not too fond of cars and I got sick once or twice, but when it was over I was greeted by this human I met at the party! YAY! I’ve been on my best behavior and they have been very nice to me.

Hello there!

HI! I’m Zoe, I was rescued by Ruffed Up Rescue not too long ago and this is my story. I asked my foster parents to create a blog for me so everyone knows what I’m up to. I’m going to be a mom soon and there are so many humans concerned about me. Its a little strange because I’ve never had this type of attention before, but I’m liking it!
I’m having my foster mom write about my day every night so come back often and read about how my day went. Someday I’ll be going to my forever home, but for now I’ll make myself at home right here!
Chat again soon! oh yah, and if you have a really LONG question to ask, just e-mail me. yep! I have an e-mail address too! I’m so spoiled. Send me a note to Zoe@Dogomania.com I’ll have my human check it every night.
One more thing before I forget, I have a photo album on facebook! click my photo and check it out…my parents are always taking photos of me. They must think i’m cute or something.
