Puppies In The Kitchen

Today was a super fun day for the puppies. They were taken out to play in the kitchen for a little while. They had SO much fun getting into all sorts of things. My human put some Raccoon fur scraps in with them and they carry them all over the place. Some will even track it if you move slow enough. Way to go hunting dogs! They are also finding they like hard bones...my hard bones...to chew on... or shall I say teeth on. My what big teeth they are getting and such strong bites! At the end of the video, Dot gets stuck and  after the Weezer escaped into the big livingroom... lol it was too funny!

YAY!!!! LETS PLAY!!!!

If you tap on the floor, for some reason these guys have become conditioned to come running! Its really funny when my human does it. No matter where they are they stop, turn their little heads and make a bee line for the sound. Please don't forget that we are looking for new homes. My human will temperment test all the puppies when they are 7 weeks old so we know exactly what home would be best for them. These are exciting weeks to come!

Stand...

Sometimes all you CAN do is stand.....

Yep. THIS is the new position during the feeding frenzie. Thankfully it's only twice a day now. The other times they are getting water and mush. Just one more week and they should be completely off me. (Oh thank goodness!) They are biting really hard now and I can see some of their teeth nubs. Poor Brenny felt a bite from someone today. I couldnt tell who bit him because when I got to the box the biter ran away and Brenny was still crying a little.

This little snazzy barrier is for me.... I keep going into the potty area and getting covered in puppy potty. Then the pups want to nurse in there. Its super cramped. I don't think it was made for that. My humans have tried everything to keep me out, but I still find a way in... this is their idea as of late.... I think this one might work.

Patches really gets into her food. These next few days are going to be fun for them. Sunday they get their nails done and Tuesday they get their second dose of wormer, which means upset tummies. I know when Maguai passed away the vet said she didn't have worms, but from what my human has seen.... they did. They must not have been big enough for them to show up yet. Yay for dead worms!

And Training Continues

Hello all my blog readers!

Today I started my "touch" training. I've had too many accidents in the house because I quietly sneak over to the front door and sit. You can't wait too long for me because when I go over there, it means I REALLY need to go out. So instead of putting me in a kennel between potty breaks, my human thought of doing something more fun and bought me a very special gift that will go with me to my new home....

My very own set of bells! You see it? It's hanging on the door behind me. I LOVE IT! I'm learning to "touch" it so it makes noise so they know I'm there waiting.  Its really FUN and I get lots of treats when I get it right. She tried to get me to fetch my leash when I had to go out, but really? Fetch? I'm so much better than to simply Fetch. ... hehehehe... no really, I don't have the self confidence to do that, but if you toss a ball in front of me I will chase it!!! Yah, that's my new ball behind me in the picture too! I LOVE IT!!!!

My puppies got some floor time today. My humans put out the big blanket on the hardwood floor and brought out some puppies to explore. Of course Autumn and Weezer were all over the place. They were exploring all sorts of things! These two are go getters! Then Snowy, Benji and patches. Snowy was ok, but Patches and Benji were not quite ready for the big space and crawled in my humans lap for some confort snuggles. Brenny, Sherlock and Scrappy took some time to explore, but with a little reasuring they were sort of ok with it. Dot and Smudges were sleeping in my other humans lap and missed the whole thing. The photos below are some of them playing. The one on the left is Dot and Benji wrestling and Autumn playing tug-o-war with the blanket. The other one is Dot and Smudges. She tries to wrestle but Dot is stronger. They are all growing so fast!!!  Until tomorrow.....
