Hay there everyone! I have just been through the biggest adventure of my life! I was confused at first because one day, my human fed me dinner early and didn't give me any treats for the rest of the night! I though I was in trouble or something... Then, she got me up really early one morning and we went for a ride. She put some itchy collar on me too... The sun wasn't even up yet. What was going on?
That's not the worst part... The WORST part was when she left me! yes!!! my MOM left me. She brought me to this small place that had a lot of other scared dogs and cats. There were so many of them being put into cages and their humans leaving them! "NOOOO!!!! I don't wanna go! Put me down" I cried, but my human held me close and told me to be brave. I was scared and I piddled a little. She put me in a tiny cage that was just big enough for me to stand up in, gave me one last look, spoke to some other humans and walked away. SHE LEFT ME!!!!
But that's not really the worst part, I fibbed. That was the worst part at that moment. it got worse! Oh yes did it get worse. The only good part was that my brother Deacon (Sherlock) was there with me. He showed up right after my human left and he was really scared too.... he piddled in his cage I think. What was happening to us? Did our humans not want us anymore???
After the last dog was put in his cage and his human left, the other humans that were there all the time put us all in a truck. I whispered to Deacon... "Where are we going?" "Are we in trouble?" He didn't know either. He was hungry and embarrassed that he piddled in his cage. The truck smelled funny and I missed my home...I had an accident too....
There was a husky across from me... his name was Harold, he was older and really scared. He kept howling and yelling to have someone let him out. I tried to talk with him, because he was older than me you know, and see if he knew why we were all here, but he was too frightened and didn't hear me. The cat above him just stared at me. I don't know how to talk with cats so I just stared back...cats are strange.
After the truck started to move most of us fell asleep, some got sick and others just cried. We were all very frightened and wanted to go home. When we stopped. the door came up, we all stood in our cages and this is where we were...
It was a very strange place, but smelled oddly familiar. It reminded me of the place my human brought me when I was sick and we napped on the floor. Maybe this wasn't going to be a bad place after all. I did miss my home though. I'm happy the people that brought me kept Deacon and I together. We had my humans name on both our cages so they thought we were together. That was nice. We kept each other company.
My human found this video and asked if this is what happened... I watched most of it... haayyy... that's the human that I saw when I woke up. The one in the video... that's the human who came in to see me. I remember them..and hayyy...that's the same blanket I had! WOW! Everything was very OK after they gave me that shot to relax.... Zzzzzzz.....
Then it was back in my cage again. Deacon was right there too. I asked if he was scared still and he said no. He was a little uncomfortable and didn't know why, but he wasn't scared anymore. The last thing I remember before going to sleep is Deacon asking... "Pssstt...Snowy, are you awake? I heard a noise."
The next morning we were all checked to make sure we were still OK and put back in the truck in the same spots we were in when we came here... hmmm... Where are we going now I wonder. I was tired and most of the dogs and cats that were really scared the first time were just sorta scared this time... Harold was sad and they must have given him something to calm him more. I don't really know because us puppies were put together and the older ones went somewhere else....the cat above him just stared....I stared back.... Cats are VERY strange. Most of us fell asleep again and when we stopped we were back where we started!
And there was my human!!! YAY!!!!!! She didn't leave me!!! She petted deacon through his cage and said he was a good boy. My human hasn't picked up on dog language yet, but he was asking her to let him out. He wanted to go home and didn't want to stay there anymore. Humans are silly. She just kept petting him and saying he was a good boy and that his daddy will be there soon to get him.
Sorry Deacon, I'm going HOME! I'll see you soon!!!
UPDATE:
So after a day and not feeling too swift, my human told me what happened.. Oohhh.... Hmmmm... Okayyyy... Gotcha.... I still don't understand, but I gave her a kiss anyway for trying. Here's my belly from yesterday. It looks way better today 'cause I get to clean it myself. That funny green mark, my human calls it a tattoo so other humans know what they did to me. All I know is that I can't WAIT to play with Suki and Shasta again... my tummy aches.
